About the Builder
About Total Environment
Founded in 1996 by Kamal Sagar, an architect and IIT Kharagpur graduate who briefly worked at Omni Architects in Lexington, Kentucky before starting the company; headquartered in Bangalore. One source additionally credits his wife, Shibanee Sagar, as a co-founder — a single-source claim, reported here but not independently corroborated.
Known for garden-centric design: a private garden for every unit, including upper floors, built using natural materials (clay brick, stone, wood) with customizable layouts and finishes, plus an in-house furniture-making arm, "Total Environment Machine-Craft."
Operates in only three Indian cities — Bangalore, Hyderabad and Pune — plus one project in the United States (Tapestry, a 56-acre community in Frisco, Texas), with a cumulative claim of over 4.5 million sq ft built. No exact year for its Pune market entry could be located.

Why Only One Project Is Shown
This research pass found only two Total Environment project names in Pune: Songs From The Wood (across at least three phases, still under development) and Orange Blossom Special, which is already complete and ready to move into. Since this page covers upcoming projects only, Orange Blossom Special is not shown as a listing here.
Total Environment is genuinely well-established in Bangalore, but Pune — one of only three Indian cities it operates in — is a smaller, more recent market for the builder, with just these two project names found rather than a large, multi-project city-wide portfolio.
