Moshi is a dense, established PCMC residential market built around its APMC market yard and a large exhibition centre — not just another highway suburb.
Moshi has no direct metro station today, though a Purple Line extension toward Nigdi is under construction and a further, still-proposed corridor names Moshi as a future stop.

Moshi has two genuinely unusual anchors for a residential suburb, both officially confirmed rather than just marketing claims.
Moshi hosts an APMC Sub Market Yard spanning nearly 9 hectares, with a dedicated fruit-and-vegetable section, a grain ("Bhusar") section, and a 2-acre cattle-market section that operates all day — confirmed directly via the market committee’s own records.
PIECC, in Moshi’s Sector 5, is planned across nearly 95 hectares under a public-private model — roughly 20 hectares already developed as open exhibition ground hosting 12–15 events a year, with a master plan for built exhibition halls, a 5,000-person convention centre, a museum and hotels.
The Moshi-Alandi and Dehu-Alandi roads run directly between two major Warkari pilgrimage towns — Alandi (Sant Dnyaneshwar) and Dehu (Sant Tukaram) — a genuine, map-visible feature of the area even where exact distances are harder to pin down precisely.
Pune’s Purple Line currently terminates at PCMC Bhavan; an extension package toward Nigdi received central government approval in October 2023 and is under construction, with station work ongoing. That is a real, funded project, distinct from a separate, still-proposed Nigdi–Chakan corridor (roughly 41–45 km, 31-plus stations) that would name Moshi as one of its stops — that second corridor has only cleared an early planning-approval stage and is not funded or under construction. Do not treat "Moshi metro" claims as settled without checking which of these two projects is meant.
On the road, Moshi sits on the Pune-Nashik Highway (NH60) with the Moshi-Alandi and Dehu-Alandi roads providing the pilgrimage-corridor access above; Chakan MIDC is roughly 6–9 km away depending on the exact point measured.

Not yet. The Purple Line currently ends at PCMC Bhavan; an extension toward Nigdi is under construction, and a separate, still-proposed Nigdi–Chakan corridor names Moshi as a future stop — but that second project has only cleared an early planning stage and is not funded or built. Verify current status before assuming either helps your commute today.
The Pune International Exhibition & Convention Centre in Moshi is a real, partly-built facility — roughly 20 hectares of exhibition ground already hosts a dozen or so events a year, even though the full master-planned halls and convention centre are still being built out.
Largely, yes — Square Yards’ own demand data shows about 69% of Moshi demand is under ₹50 lakh, consistent with an affordable, first-time-buyer market oriented toward Chakan MIDC and PCMC employment rather than a premium destination.
